May 2009 ‘Cruise News’ from Mundy Cruising - the leading UK specialist in international, quality cruising, tailor-making luxury holidays to suit the needs of the discerning customer. Of the comprehensive travel destination features, ship reports, industry news columns and comment from Mundy’s knowledgeable Managing Director Edwina Lonsdale, content highlights this month include:

** Mundy Cruising will attend Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in July, sponsoring expert Anthea Guthrie’s Anne Boleyn garden (page 4 Cruise News)

This year the RHS has six showcase gardens, each of which represents one of Henry VIII’s wives. It was rumoured Anne Boleyn was a witch and Anthea’s garden will reflect this in her mystical, magical garden.

Mundy Cruising’s association with garden expert Anthea Guthrie first began in 2008 and this time Mundy Cruising clients attending the Hampton Court Show will have a unique opportunity to enjoy a personal informative tour of the garden from Anthea Guthrie at 1pm on Wednesday, July 8.

At the show, all visitors are welcome to the Witch’s Garden for Ann Boleyn (within the Six Wives of Henry VIII section).

** A Musical experience can enhance a great holiday – whether a river or ocean cruise - transforming it into an exceptional one (page 7 Cruise News)

Some of the opportunities on offer in 2009 are:

-       P&O is celebrating the Silver Jubilee of its Music Festival at Sea programme. A series of cruises will be hosted by well-known celebrities from TV, radio and stage, including: Henry Kelly, John Suchet and Richard Baker. Guests on board can enjoy opera, operatta, recitals, music quizzes and interviews with the personalities.

-       match the music to the area: Peter Deilmann’s river cruise vessel mv Mozart is sailing on a voyage with overnight stays in Vienna and Budapest, taking in the landscapes and cities which inspired composers, Schubert, Strauss, Beethoven, Mozart and Brahms. On October 4, mv Mozart departs on a 7-night round trip from Passau, fares from £1,209 per person in a classic inside 3 berth cabin, or from £2015 per person in a twin with river view.

** The River Elbe Experience – The Baroque in Saxony & Bohemia (pages 14/15):
