** Waterways of the Tsars in 2008 (Cruise News page 15):
Together with Viking River Cruises, Mundy Cruising has created an exclusive cruise and tour programme from Moscow to St Petersburg. This 12-night river cruise and land programme has been rescheduled to October 2008 flying from London to Moscow and transferring to join the fully-renovated, 210-passenger Viking Surkov. Particularly exciting highlights of this holiday are a tour of the famous Kremlin and exclusive and private access to the Hermitage museum in St Petersburg.
The cost from £3,695 per person.
** Expedition to the Indies – 11th – 25th March, 2009:
This very special and exclusive voyage, created in association with the Durrell Wildlilfe Conservation Trust offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the lesser-known parts of the eastern Caribbean, sailing in comfort aboard the MS Le Levant and visiting the north coast of Venezuela. The itinerary features St Lucia; Dominica; Montserrat; Nevis; and Antigua.
In addition to the appeal of these exotic and magical tropical islands, one of the most important elements of this holiday is the pedigree of the tour leader and guest lecturers on board, including Dr Lee Durrell (married to Gerald Durrell) and Colonel John Blashford-Snell.
The cost - £6,795 per person sharing.
** A New Era (Cruise News page 14):
An exciting move forward, French line Compagnie des Iles du Ponant is to expand its existing fleet by building two, new sleek motoryachts , similar to the elegant Le Levant in style but double the size for launch in late 2009 and early 2010. Both new vessels will have a total capacity of 200, featuring 100 seaview cabins with balconies or even private roof terrace.
Itinerary plans include positioning one ship in South America, Antarctica and Europe and the other in the Pacific to operate itineraries, including South East Asia, Japan, Alaska, French Polynesia, Australia and New Zealand.
** Majestic America Line (Cruise News page 14):
