Landings are key to the expedition, and passengers should expect early starts, and plenty of physical exertion. Expeditions are enhanced by experienced expedition leaders and guest naturalists who bring the whole experience to life with their lectures, presentations and participation in trips ashore. Prince Albert II will operate a series of fascinating Arctic itineraries in Summer 2009, with a focus on Spitsbergen, Svalbard and Greenland. Cruise only fares start from just £1,699 per person for 7 nights including all drinks, gratuities and excursions.
