Coming up soon, these events include:

The Far East Cruise Fair: This will be held at the RAC Club, Pall Mall on London on Wednesday, March 18, from 1pm ' 5.30 pm. No charge for entry.



Mundy Cruising has teamed up with eight ocean and river cruise line partners to offer all those attending the Fair the opportunity to hear so much more about this magical part of the world, with all its many contrasting attractions, ranging from idyllic beaches to state-of-the -art cities. Visitors can speak direct with the cruise lines and choose from fascinating voyages from South East Asia to China and from Japan to the South China Seas. 

There will be booking incentives available on the day and up to two weeks after the event, so clients have time to collect the information on March 18 and select carefully that special cruise holiday choice.

The cruise line partners are: Star Clippers; Crystal Cruises; Oceania Cruises; Regent Seven Seas Cruises; The Yachts of Seabourn; Silversea Cruises; Viking River Cruises; Voyages of Discovery.

Live Luggage will also be exhibiting ' the world's first power assisted suitcase; and Tristar executive limousines, who can assist with transportation from home to airports.

** EXCITING EXPEDITIONS AT SEA:

In this issue, Edwina Lonsdale of Mundy Cruising examines the difference between a conventional cruise and an expedition, highlighting the fact that whilst an expedition can be offered on board a luxury vessel such as the new Silversea ship Prince Albert II, it will differ from an ordinary cruise in a number of key aspects: 

The vessel will travel to the more remote parts of the world, sometimes to icy waters where ice-strengthened hull is essential, and zodiacs will be on hand to transfer passengers ashore, for wet or dry landings directly onto the beach or onto rudimentary landing stages. 

Landings are key to the expedition, and passengers should expect early starts, and plenty of physical exertion.

Expeditions are enhanced by experienced expedition leaders and guest naturalists who bring the whole experience to life with their lectures, presentations and participation in trips ashore.

Prince Albert II will operate a series of fascinating Arctic itineraries in Summer 2009, with a focus on Spitsbergen, Svalbard and Greenland. Cruise only fares start from just £1,699 per person for 7 nights including all drinks, gratuities and excursions.
